Whoa! Peace? Most days around here are hectic - external peace is hard to find. Today had several urgent errands that made eating a bit challenging. Then when I put things away at days end, see the provisions sitting in the fridge ... hard boiled eggs, cut veggies, cheese sticks, water - things I could have taken along and rescued my kangaroo-like insulin ups and downs. Tomorrow the new habit begins to pick up the snack box when I pick up my purse and head for the car.
God's name in Judges 6: 22-24 "Judges 6:23-24 But the LORD said to him, “Peace! Do not be afraid. You are not going to die. So Gideon built an altar to the LORD there and called it The LORD is Peace. " - Jehovah-Shalom. Shalom translates peace (but not just peace - whole, finished, fulfilled and perfected). That kind of peace can only result from being in right relationship to God - think vertical line... and earthly relationships - think horizontal line. Only through the cross can I become a whole person and have peace in all directions. I'm encouraged that despite a hectic life, peace on the inside can keep me going.

Pilates are strengthening moves and stretches made famous by Joseph Pilate. Although one can get all sorts of equipment to aid you like the Pilates Ring, a floor machine called the Performer, or simply a mat or some tubes and a DVD to follow (Mari Winsor Pilates), they are very effective, and like Oxycise breathing, leave you feeling lithe, tall and with fewer aches (probably due to improved posture).
