Day 82 - Victory

" Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not be terrified or give way to panic before them. For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”  Deuteronomy 20:3-4 - Adonai Hoshia - The LORD of Victory

Today I am home 'early' with the taste of victory.  Each time God moves and changes things which look hopeless, I am so amazed.  Not amazed that He CAN do it, but amazed that He WOULD do it.  At last, at last, help will be provided for the one I am caring for.    It is so sweet and unreal to go into a situation asking God to move, to soothe and touch hearts and make them receptive - and then to go home and realize that every detail of every prayer has been answered.  I wish it had not taken me so many years to fully realize that the battle does not belong to me but to the LORD.

It was helpful to remember that my enemies are not the people I am dealing with, but the principalities and powers that would deny the truth of these verses - that the LORD is the victor, and any fear, terror, or panic is not from God.  It thrills me to read that verse again, personalizing it - " The LORD (my) God is the one who goes with (me) to fight for (me) against my enemies, to give me victory."

He is the LORD of victory.

On the road today:

Breakfast - Raw Foods Spirulena
Late lunch - Salad, Meatloaf, Mashed potatoes and gravy, peas, strawberry ice cream on fresh blueberry cobbler - the best Blueberry dessert I've had.

Norway Deli - North on Main Street.  Norway, MI. All food fresh and home-made. Real potatoes, solid blueberries (not just sauce and a few berries).  We will be returning there again and highly recommend to any UP locals, or travelers.  Exceptional quality and very large portions. Lots of abundance for tomorrow. Everything tastes fresh from the farm.

Later dinner snack:  Charcoal Grill around Port Washington.
Walleye 'fingers' and vegetables - the first batch of vegetables - in this picture -  were swimming in grease and tasted of bacon (supposedly sauteed).  Couldn't eat them. The second batch were slightly steamed (took home the almost-raw portion).  Reminder that I cannot assume that all restaurants vegetables will be steamed. Must request.  A very disappointing meal - but maybe anything would have been after the fresh bounty of lunch.  Others in our party were satisfied with their meal.

283 days remaining :)
