Day 95 - Love, eating and technology

Grrrr.  Not a usual way to start a message titled love?  That's cause normally I love my little cell phone, and I love my camera, but when the camera wouldn't work I took a picture with the cell phone, which of course won't upload.  Though technology has been a blessing to me in many ways - like almost instant contact with friends and family, it is also very time consuming and irritating as today when the parts don't cooperate or when the manufacturer or systems keep 'updating' and then nothing works as before.

I'm so glad the other loves of my life do not work that way.  Loves?  Yes, of course I couldn't leave out my dear hubby, most known to me for offering "whatever your pleasure" (even though sometimes I wish he would make more decisions) - and of course El Ahavah - God of Love who also promises in Romans 8:28 to 'work all thing together for my good'.   When all else in life goes sour, El Ahavah can be depended upon to not have changed... no updating needed.  Lifetime tech support :)  His yes will always be yes.  His promises and covenants cannot be broken. My link to Him is always open and there is no place where there is not a tower.  And how does El Ahavah - God of Love demonstrate His love?  Romans 5:8 - God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ... and Deuteronomy 23:6 - "the LORD your God ... turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loves you."

So comforting that even I don't have to be like the technology - only 'useful' if I'm functioning properly. God doesn't make me wait until I have the latest improvements 'installed' and mastered - He proved that by loving me while I was totally unfunctional!

My totally liquid for awhile plan will have to wait at least until after April 6.  I'm working 14 hours or more that day without access to the almost-constant hydration I would need, but I can do at least a meal a day, possibly two that will be liquid until then.

Today's liquid meal was Total Health natural-Chocolate flavored protein smoothie with mint.  Quite tasty, with water base, and next time I will try it with almond milk.

The cell phone picture was Chicken Bella from Ruby Tuesday's:  chicken breast smothered in sauteed baby-portabellas and a yummy lemon sauce. Vegetable sides were brocolli and sugar snap peas. (one substitution in place of the offered garlic mashed potatoes).  Since I requested non-coated chicken, I should have expected the grilled meat ( I don't care for the grill-flavored anything).  Instead of requesting new meal - Ruby Tuesday's is very accommodating that way - I had it wrapped for Ken.  Ruby Tuesday's has a phenomenal salad bar and one of the most adaptable menus ever.  Possibly one of the reasons they can make so many changes is they actually freshly cook the food - none of the usual pre-cooked, pre-packaged stuff served there.  I would not hesitate to send anyone with allergy or dietary concerns or special needs to Ruby Tuesday - at least the one in Menominee Falls :)
