Rushing through devotional time can intensify that heart-burn, as each hour's pressures are packed down into that deal-with-it-later space that has potential to 'blow' by the day's end.
Looking for rush in the scriptures, I found only warnings of how man rushes into sin. Now that I ponder on it, it's true isn't it - from big and hasty decisions we regret, to those little things - grabbing an unhealthy snack, to not preparing for a good day is usually because we are rushed.
It challenges me to read the opposite of rushing - waiting - patiently.
Romans. 8:25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
Food: Only two pictures:
Chicken Salad Sandwich: Chicken cooked in rice wine, added grapes, apples and few pecans. On Pumpernickel bread.
Peach Yogurt Custard: Greek yogurt, eggs, honey, a little rice milk, sprinkles of pumpkin-pie spice and added cut fresh peaches. Baked in water bath.
Also had cereal bowl of spaghetti and one meatball last night.
