Watching and waiting for good news

Daily calls and exciting proofs of impending birth mark our days of anticipation until our granddaughter's first child, Braelyn, makes her arrival known.  We eagerly wait for the good news that Kristin's labor will be a distant memory.  Our summer was filled with waiting and watching for good news events like babies, graduations, recoveries, engagements, weddings, moves, acceptance, jobs, and victories of all kinds.

Media is currently filled with bad news stories of fear and terror about 2012 and all ages wonder if any of the predictions will happen that year.  Since the Bible says no one knows the day or hour, I tend to discount anything dated as an untruth, yet current events certainly do not give one confidence of encouraging events anytime soon - particularly considering the acceptance of tolerance for all faiths except those who name the name of Christ.

It makes me wonder if  I've watched as eagerly for His return as I should,  or if I really attempt to tell "everyone" as the scriptures mandate, of the Good News of Jesus Christ.   There's so much bad news in the world these days, and I've know some really good news that can change a person's life forever!   Good news to me would be if all who read this went to www.markcahill.com to read about one thing you can't do in heaven.  There's no waiting through boring or time consuming or distracting introductions.  It's all right out front. That's the Lord, and that's Mark Cahill too.  A guaranteed good news place!

Delores, glad I found the link to your blog, and how exciting to hear that Kirstin is due to be a Mommy. What I think is the MOST important thing in the world that a woman can do!! Although, I've especially enjoyed being a Grandma too!!

I fully understand what you've written about looking for the postive things to reflect on in this current world too! JoAnne
