Day 18 - Support

I'm feeling loved today.  Though it wasn't necessary - ah, maybe because it wasn't necessary for my niece to encourage me and ask how what could prepare so we could all eat healthy during my visit, I was lifted up.  Other friends and family regularly send encouragements as well.  I think we all have experienced that wonderful timing of the Lord to have a friend say I was thinking of you.  I was just reading CS Lewis' book of the 4 loves, and one of them is the helping love - that is what I experienced today.

Accountability partners are of great importance to keeping a commitment, to fully engaging in the fight to keep on the path of obedience.  If you don't have some, get some - ask someone to monitor you and you will be blessed.  Knowing someone is praying for you will lift your spirits and increase your will to want to do what is right.  It also creates the longing to reciprocate and pray for your support team. It's a great help to keep my mind off myself.  A special thanks to all those who continue to lift me up, and a sweet encouragement to those who have not had this experience - or just maybe not lately - to look around and see who partner with you on your life endeavor - God says if you partner you will have a good return for your labor!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says  Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.

Brunch and Dinner: Awesome Roast Beef Fritatta - Tenuta's roast beef, mushrooms, onions, sweet red pepper.  Egg not scrambled.  Seasoned with Steak Dust and Lawry's seasoning salt.

Afternoon snack:  Cheesecake - Ken requested I copy a picture and the only change I made was the crust... instead of adding flour, sugar, and butter to the pecans, I just lined the bottom of the cute little pie pans with the nuts and poured the batter over.  The nuts baked right into the batter.  No need for the extra calories!

Dinner: Also added vegetables and half a pear

Late night snack:  Nuts - Those little Tupperware cups work perfectly for portion control and are the right size to toss in my purse too for when I'm running around doing errands.
