Kudos to Ruby Tuesdays! One of us has gluten and garlic allergies, the other has wheat and carb (insulin spike) issues. Gratefully, neither of us had a problem ordering a deliciously adapted meal at Ruby Tuesdays. This is one of the few restaurants that seems to know all exact ingredients of their food and goes above and beyond adapting to the customers requests - they even make suggestions that made the meal better (and safer). How wonderful to know we can arrive confident that our needs will be met, with artistically presented meals delivered by caring and professional wait-staff. Can you tell we were pleased? Highly recommend this restaurant for everyone, and especially for those with diet/food concerns. You will see from my picture today the beautiful and ample offering that was today's (and will be tomorrow's) lunch.
I finished the 7th of 9 CDs on Esther returning from my niece's yesterday. One thing I was reminded of was adaptability. Several of the characters in the book of Esther had to make decisions, and most of those with authority usually attempted to motivate or force others to adapt to their desires. Some (like Esther and her uncle Mordecai) chose to adapt their life to serve others. I had to chuckle as I heard the GPS "recalculating" a couple of times around Chicago. How many times it reminded me of how I made my own plans - including a 'shortcut' or two, instead of following the plan already laid out for me. The result - I had to 'recalculate' and return back to where I went off the path (to get corrected) and put back on. 2Timothy 3:16 says "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
I did not exercise a lot the last few days, (Oxycise in the car on the way down and housekeeping bending and climbing). I believe I need to recalculate my exercise goals from 30 minutes a day to 45-60 minutes. This goal can be adapted to the day's schedule by breaking into increments of 20 in case activities prevent a continuous hour block. I also want to plan a routine I can take with when traveling - perhaps with something portable like exercise bands.
Breakfast: 1/2 Raw Revolution Bar
Lunch: Chicken Piccatta (capers and lemon sauce) over Sugar Snap Peas and Brocolli. Oh so delicious.
Dinner: Buttered Artichoke pasta with Penzy's Pasta Sprinkle, and Ham Balls (ham, egg, milk, crumbs and cloves).
