Day 61 - Abba - Daddy

I am not feeling well and miss my Daddy. We've been reminiscing today and the funeral of a young person tonight brings fresh reminders of the hope of eternity to those in Christ.  Someone said Marie Osmond's son left a note saying he had no hope.  I think that is the saddest thing anyone could write.

Abba means Daddy or Dear Father.  No wonder some of the world think we might be crazy if we refer to God in this way.  Yet over and over the history and story (His-story) of Christ reveals such a loving and tender nature.  Luke 15:20 is from the story of the prodigal son who ran off to spend his inheritance.   When he had spent all and was hungry he headed home, shamed.  Yet, the story goes, "while he was still a long way off, his Abba saw him, and was filled with such compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him, and kissed him."

Emotional.  Demonstrative.  Rejoicing in good.  Displaying action that showed forgiveness was past tense and love is present tense.  Arms open, welcome, waiting, accepting.  Abba.

Did not eat much today, but could not totally detox due to reaction to yesterday's food and work. I will tell you an old-fashioned remedy for sore muscles that works - add 1 cup Epsom Salts to bath water. You can add a little spearmint and euculyptus to clear the sinuses if needed.

Cod from The Farm (flaky, tender - NOT greasy) and abundance of veggies stir-fried featuring sweet potato and sugar snap peas.  Rest of day was lots of Amazon Rainforest Tea with New Zealand honey.
