Day 123 - On the Road

Not to Damascus but to Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee so far.

Each meal was in a different state today.

Breakfast in a motel doesn't have to be all carbs.  We stick with Choice Hotels and they often include hot items (besides waffles) such as scrambled eggs and ham as we had this morning.

Lunch was a Cracker Barrel in Kentucky.  I was surprised that they offered to cook my Haddock to order.  The carrots and apple slices were a nice sweet touch.  Too much to eat though and we had to leave some behind.

Dinner at Ruby Tuesday's.  Their reputation continues to remain high with me because they always have fresh food and are willing to meet the needs and preferences of their customers.  I had a baked potato with sauteed baby portabello mushrooms and a side of sugar-snap peas.  Very delicious but I haven't had dairy for awhile, so that part was regretted for a few hours.  That was Bunny's fault (the GPS) because she had a few warped events where she had us driving in circles - literally.  We have been tired the last four hours, and plan to have a slower day of relaxing tomorrow.

We spent so much time in the Diamond Cave that the camera is in need of recharging so I'll have to upload the pictures later. It was a good tour and a good workout.  Groups of up to 50 extremely steep stairs, walking for an hour.

Devotions for today were from Psalm 30
Prasing the Lord for lifting me up
Thanking Him because I am His and no enemy can rejoice over me
Remembering how I cried to Him and he saved me and healed me
Singing to Him with thanks
Vowing to give Him the glory - that my glory would be praising Him and not being silent.
it ends
O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee forever.
