Healthy Math: The problem; Desire to lose health problems, extra weight, all those things that slow one down.
The response: Heb. 12:1 (The Message) Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins.
How do I do that:
2Pet. 1:4 … he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
2Pet. 1:5 -7 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.
So in order to subtract, I need to make every effort – to add more healthful activity so I will be so filled with health the excess fat and parasitic sin will have no source of growth and no room to contain it.
Food: Breakfast - Abundance of Baked potato (1/2 potato), sweet onion, and Kale, topped with an egg, over easy.
Snack: Greek Yogurt, 1/2 peach, cubed, drizzle of sweetener (honey or maple syrup)
Dinner: Pita Pizza - Homemade Tomato Sauce, Sausage, leftover grated Cheese, Watermelon
Starting tomorrow and for the next several blogs, I’ll be looking at each of the promises listed above that enable us to escape the corruption (health, spiritual, moral) caused by evil desires. And I’ll be starting to post the calories ADDED and calories SUBTRACTED (burned). The goal of course is to SHOW subtraction at the end of each day. The tool I will use is Weight by Date. Notating every bite that I eat, and every step that I take will add a little time to the routine, but it is an inexpensive commitment that has not failed to show results.
