Day 255 - Being refreshed and Be THERE

It is good to be refreshed - refreshed in body, refreshed in our soul, and refreshed in our hearts. Today I had all three - from three different groups of people...

Are your days as busy as mine - multiple choices of things that must be, should be, could be and would like to be done and never enough time to do them all? Of course part of the answer is to prioritize and eliminate, postpone, simplify or share some of the items where possible... As important, I believe, is to look for refreshment in the midst of the jumble of life's activities.

Instead of being so busy that while I'm doing something I am thinking of what is next, I'm learning to grab a cup of tea - and to be THERE - totally there - where ever I am. I do not drink black tea, but those made from fresh herbs - or quality tea like Amazon Tea, or White Tea. These drinks do more than hydrate - they refresh and energize - and take the edge off of cravings as well, because some of them work as digestive aids.

Many times much of our cravings - and after-dinner discomforts - are from foods being improperly digested, so adding herbal tea mixtures to some of the water during the day can really control input. And they help me to refresh and refocus, so I can fully present enjoy each event.

Another form of refreshment and distraction from thinking about what my stomach is craving is to spend quality time with others. I was privileged to do that today as well, and appreciate the benefit I received from those who shared their precious time today. Philemon 20 - "I do wish, brother, that I may have some benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ."

Calories: -700

Food:  Sauerkraut, chicken, peaches - sound weird? It wasn't!

Salad with Italian dressing
Soup - chicken broth and vegetables
Pizza toppings (I'm avoiding wheat, testing for gluten intolerance and didn't eat the spinach pizza topping as it tasted like fish.  Now that's weird!
