Saturday was a grandchild's birthday party, which I thought I was determined to resist, but didn't :)
Was too busy for breakfast and Lunch was Breyer's mint chip ice cream and a couple of corn chips and refried beans. Dinner a portion of Cottage-Chicken (cottage cheese, eggs, onion, chicken and spices). Side of 1/2 fresh peach and Columbia Gorge Cherries and juice.
Sunday we used a certificate to Perkins and the entrees were good but mediocre - I had half a Reuben without the dressing but the Wildberry Pie (no sugar or sugar substitutes) was outstanding. We were also sufficiently filled we didn't want an evening meal.
Those choices could be called a stupid diet, and I an my body are regretting them. However, there is a real nutritional program called The Stupid Diet which I am heading toward embracing. Why? I'm finding most grains (including corn) are not agreeing with me, and so I am cleaning out the pantry to go head toward the program known as The Stupid Diet. (www.behealthyamerica.com)
I was not surprised to see what the Bible says about stupid:
Proverbs 12:1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, But he who hates reproof is stupid.
and from the Message:
Psalm 19:13 Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh!
Keep me from stupid sins,
from thinking I can take over your work;
Then I can start this day sun-washed,
scrubbed clean of the grime of sin.
Looking forward to that clean slate tomorrow, as well as a clean pantry and restoration of energy.
Calorie Count Sat and Sunday - Saturday was minus due to a fun 30 minutes on the rebounder and time on the treadmill. Sunday no exercise except the stairs.
