Is forbidden the wrong term for a gift? I gave Ken a birthday gift not to shop for one year in my store of weakness. It's a great exercise in many areas - prudence, patience, and a frugality too as it is a higher end store. Granddaughter Kristin called recently to tell me of a rummage sale with stacks of the favorite name brand. I came home with 3 grocery bags of almost-new items for less than I'd have paid for one in the store!
Today a friend 'kidnapped' me and we headed to the Apple store to get an estimate on a computer that doesn't hourly spin the lovely color wheel, taking 5 minutes to open an email. The store was closed for remodeling, so we did what we do best - tried on shoes (got 3 pair for under $25 total), and clothes - got a few of those too - so now to the rest of the birthday bargain... Bring one in - take two out.
Gotta go clean the closet. Out with the old.

What a blessing it was to spend a whole day with you! You took me to a place I desperately needed to go, your version of 'Disneyland". I'm still laughing! I could learn a few lessons from the 'coupon' queen. We weren't leaving until I used both of mine. I enjoyed the blessing of spending my day with God's spiritual 'funny' child!
