Day 163 - Reflection on Confession

I'm sure I've heard it before, but the word confess struck me anew today - collided you might say - with the weighty caboose of it's description - Confession - agreeing with God.

God knows what we've done already - so why not admit it.  Why instead do we hesitate to agree with Him, either speaking of other things, remaining silent, or acting out our disagreement that we are indeed, guilty?

Confession is one of the reasons why I was led to read this book; that and a recommendation of a Bible teacher I trust.  Confession that I've not yet read the book and that I've received comments pro and con about the book, it's author, and his mentors, including warnings of unbiblical teachings, leads me to further examination and explanation.

Admittedly, I'm a risk taker, but open only to the point that if any teachings do not match with scripture, I'll toss it midstream.  As a reader, I'm curious about the experience of another believer, particularly as it related to my respected Bible teacher, and his personal comments. As a Christian, I believe my spiritual life would benefit from a deeper look at how I pray or could pray.  As a skeptic, I am not looking for, nor would I use, anyone else's personal prayer as mine,  yet will appreciate lessons learned which brought another believer closer to Christ.  As a reviewer, I've already noted the meaning of the letters in the acrostic PAPA: Present, Attend, Purge and Approach.  Sounds like a four-step plan to approaching God in prayer - focusing more on God than myself.  I will let you know.

I confess this is more of an experiment than I anticipated.

Meals today consisted of:
Breakfast - smoothie - Total Health Whey Protein, Golden Flax seed, Golden Flax Oil (Foods Alive), 3 ice cubes, 6 oz. of water and 1/2 cup of raspberries.

Lunch:  Unlimited allowed veggies - today - Asparagus and Cabbage

Snack: Macintosh Apple and 1/8 cup raw almonds

Dinner:  3-4 oz. Chicken and Cauliflower

Daily breakfast will be a smoothie with varied fruits. It makes quite a large glass (for me) - photo tomorrow.

Lunches are vegetables - raw or steamed and Dinner includes up to 4 oz. of chicken or fish and unlimited allowed vegetables

Day 1 of 21  - Days 163 through 184 - MDD - Modified Daniel Diet

Romans 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
