Day 268-270 Grandview Revisit and Detox

I've discovered a wonderful product called Cleansology which is making me feel great.   Besides no stomach distress, and no heavy feeling after eating, allergy symptoms are decreasing and I just have a great feeling of wellness.  Don't know how else to describe it.

I plan to continue for at least 2 weeks, using this Chai flavored smoothie type drink (powder and water) for breakfast and dinner replacement and having salad or soup - with protein - for my main meal at noon.
Following that I will begin the Stupid Diet by Dino Prato from Envita. www.behealthyamerica.com

Consequently calories will be pretty consistent with varied exercise changing the minus mark. Without specific exercise (other than daily living) my count will be about -587.  Friday I walked 4.36 miles outside and did indoor stretching.  Saturday was daily living and dancing.  Sunday daily living.

As the title states, part of the purpose of using the Cleansology is detox, which should help with inflammation too.

In case anyone is not familiar with detox (from bodydetoxdiet.net) Detox is short for detoxification. It is the process of removing toxic substances away from the body. The body itself performs detoxification daily via the liver, kidney, digestive tract, lungs and the skin. Lungs excrete toxic gases from the blood and gets fresh oxygen from the air. Diets that are high in saturated fat can lead to fat buildup in the arteries. Cholesterol and inorganic chemicals can build up on the internal organs, affecting their ability to detoxify. After several years of exposure to chemicals, the body can no longer efficiently eliminate these toxic substances inside the body. Thus, the toxins get re-circulated into the bloodstream which causes more damage in the body. The gastrointestinal tract can have ulcerations, imbalance in the acidity, growth of tumors and polyps. Whenever the efficiency of body waste disposal becomes reduced, you need a special program which would increase the rate at which the body disposes waste substances.

This is a great time to also take advantage of the spiritual benefits of a detox or fast of any type.  The reason spiritual benefits usually accompany this type of 'diet' - at least for me - is that the daily focus does not expend so much time thinking about and preparing food.  That means more time is spent on the thoughts of daily devotions, Bible study, or Bible reading.  It's an especially good time as well to play uplifting music with words and melody that are encouraging.  Why not cleanse all of us - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual?

Psalm 51:10 requests a detox in prayer: "Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me."
